Are You Prepared To Evangelize?

Evangelist's Preparation

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone (Colossians 4:2–6, NIV).

1. Pray

2. Being Watchful

3. Proclaim the Mystery of Christ

4. Look for Opportunity

Communion With The Lord

communion.jpg

As the new believers were added to the first century Church, they gathered together weekly to  worship the Lord Jesus Christ. They gathered weekly to proclaim His death.  Believers  keep this memorial service in honor of our Lord's request. They gather around bread and wine in a meeting that the early Christians called the “Lord’s Supper” (Corinthians 11:20) or the “Breaking of Bread” (Acts 2:42). Believers have practiced this through out the years, because  the Lord Jesus commanded us to observe it:

And when He had taken some bread and given thanks, He broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood.” – - Luke 22:19-20

The Lord gave instructions for The Lord's Supper.  He  instituted the use of the bread and wine which was symbolized His body and blood. When the  bread is broken, it represents the Lord's body that was broken for you and me. We use one loaf, because it symbolizes that there is one body.  (1 Corinthians 10:17) The wine represents the blood of the the Lord Jesus which was shed for each one of us. (Matthew 26:28)

What is Love?

LOVE IS..

1 Corinthians 13: 4-13 Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffereddoes not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;  bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part; 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away. 11 When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror  dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. 13 But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the  greatest of these is love.

Loneliness?

Feeling Lonely?

At times, each of us may feel that we are walking alone in this life. Loneliness effects millions of people each day., and it leaves many people in despair. When you are experiencing time of being alone, trust God’s care for you.

God gives us a promise that we can hold onto when times are difficult. Psalm 147: 3 He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds.

In Psalms 68:5-6 A father of the fatherless and a judge [a]for the widows, Is God in His holy habitation.6 God makes a home for the lonely;
He leads out the prisoners into prosperity,
Only the rebellious dwell in a parched land.

Are You Following Christ?

Forsaking All

He Did not say that a diluted Form of discipleship would be possible for a man who holds on to his treasures, Jesus said “he …cannot be my disciple.”

Any sacrifices we make are no sacrifice at all, when seen in the light of Calvary. Besides all this, we only give to the Lord what we cannot keep anyway and what we have ceased to love.

The Old Life

Ephesians 2: 1-2 And you  were dead in your trespasses and sins,  in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.

Each one of us were separated from God due to our sins that we have committed, and the sin nature that exists within us. These trespasses are by their very nature against God. The course of our daily lives is contrary to the righteousness of God. Each one has lived by the world’s standards and loved it. All that is of the world is energized by the prince of the power of the air, the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and the pride of life. These lusts can be broken by the power of Christ’s work on Calvary.
